Assembly and set up
Carefully remove the microscope body from the box and set it on a sturdy, flat surface. Carefully detach the microscope head from its packaging and securely fasten it to the main body using the head locking screw, ensuring to avoid overtightening for optimal performance. locking screw, using care not to overtighten.
Gently remove the protective plastic covers from the eyepiece holders atop the microscope's head, then strategically place the eyepieces into their dedicated slots. At this stage, consider inserting the eyepiece adapter into the trinocular camera port positioned on the microscope's uppermost section. place eyepieces into the holders. You may choose at this time to insert the eyepiece adapter into the trinocular camera port on the top of the microscope and place either a third eyepiece into it or mount an eyepiece camera (not included). Secure the power adapter to the microscope, connect it to a power source, and activate the microscope by pressing the conveniently located power button on the rear of the base. adapter and attach it to the microscope, then plug it in. Turn the microscope on by pressing the power button on the back of the base.
Using the microscope
Turn the microscope on and Skillfully use the illumination intensity control wheel to set the lamp to its softest glow for optimal observation.
Carefully secure a slide into the holder on the stage. Utilize the X-Y translational control knobs found on the right side of the stage to smoothly glide the stage front to back or the slide holder left to right ensuring the specimen is perfectly centered over the brilliant bulb.
Adjust the distance of the binocular eyepieces to find the ideal position, so that you see a singular image when gazing through them. Modify the bulb's radiance to an ideal level with the dimmer wheel. Remarkably, another user can concurrently view the image using an eyepiece via the innovative trinocular port.
Always commence with the lowest power objective lens, specifically the 4X objective, which should be centered over the stage. Peer through the eyepieces and gently rotate the larger coarse adjustment focus knob to bring the stage closer to the objective. Upon forming an image, transition to the blue fine adjustment focus knob to delicately refine clarity or explore the multiple layers of the specimen. Feel free to also use the diopter adjustment control on the eyepiece holder at this moment to further
enhance image sharpness. Explore other areas of the slide by using the X-Y translational control knobs to move the slide holder once the specimen is in precise focus.
Elevate magnification by turning the nosepiece clockwise to engage a higher magnification objective, being cautious to avoid contact with the slide to prevent any potential damage to the delicate glass surface. on the slide, the objective, or both. If you cannot move the objective into place without making contact with the slide, use the coarse focus knob to gently lower the stage. down and away to create ample space before altering magnification.
Skillfully adjust the precision focus ring on the iris aperture diaphragm to enhance the clarity of the visual display. The condenser can be elegantly adjusted closer to or farther from the stage by gently rotating the sturdy metal knob.
For optimal performance with the 100X objective, utilize the premium immersion oil provided. Rotate the nosepiece so that the 100X objective is positioned near, yet not directly on, the specimen slide. Then apply a precise drop of the high-quality included immersion oil onto the cover slip. Gently rotate the 100X objective into position so it delicately contacts the immersion oil. Fine-tune the focus until your specimen is magnificently clear. (Note: Post-use, always delicately cleanse the oil off the objective lens and the cover slip with lens paper, moistened with a touch of ethyl or isopropyl alcohol. Do not apply immersion oil with the 4X, 10X, or 40X objectives.)
The swing-in and swing-out filter holder is situated at the bottom of the Abbe condenser. Swing it out and carefully position a 32mm diameter filter into it, ensuring that no dust, dirt, or fingerprints mar the filter or the field lens.
Seamlessly mount a camera attachment
Effortlessly set up your observation experience by placing the eyepiece adapter into the trinocular camera port, located conveniently on the top of the microscope. Mount your eyepiece camera directly onto it. Please note that the camera is not included. If a C- mount camera is what you need, simply unscrew the top ring from the eyepiece adapter. This allows you to seamlessly adapt and transform it into a 1X C-mount perfectly suited for your camera.
Experience precision with our pre-set parfocality between eyepieces and the trinocular port, meticulously calibrated before shipment to eliminate the need for adjustment. However, should the need arise, you can effortlessly rotate the parfocal ring on the eyepiece adapter, allowing you to finely tune the adapter height and achieve the ideal parfocality to suit your needs.
