I. Assembling the microscope
The components for the S41-20 microscope are shipped in a disassembled state to ensure their utmost protection during transit. Carefully open the styrofoam packaging, ensuring no components are left behind. Retain all packing materials until each component is positively identified. Delicately remove the protective plastic covers from the microscope's head and the two gooseneck LED lights to reveal the pristine craftsmanship.

Begin the seamless assembly by attaching the stand connector and its supportive pillar to the vertical pillar, securely tightening the fastening knobs. Elegantly attach the working arm to the stand connector, followed by affixing the focus block connector to the microscope head. Finally, seamlessly unite the working arm and focus block connector using the focus block fixing knob, ensuring a stable and precise setup.

Carefully locate and attach the power cord to the microscope, then plug it in. Activate the power switch located at the back of the microscope stand to breathe life into your sophisticated equipment, ready to illuminate your discoveries.

II. Using the microscope

Interpupillary adjustment
Gently adjust the two eyepiece tubes until you see a single, unified circular field through both eyepieces. Separate circles indicate an interpupillary distance too large, while overlapping circles suggest a distance too small. The eyepiece tubes offer convenient and flexible adjustment of the interpupillary distance between 54 and 76mm, providing tailored comfort for every user.

Focusing the microscope
To bring your sample into sharp focus, expertly use the focusing knobs located on both sides of the head holder. By rotating these knobs, effortlessly move the microscope up or down via an advanced 'rack and pinion' mechanism, ensuring precision and clarity.

Utilize the focusing knob to achieve a crystal-clear image. If the sample remains out of focus within the travel range of the S303/S304 pole arm and stand, adjust the microscope head height along the vertical pillar to a precise working distance of 230mm from the sample. Remember to tighten the locking screw and support collar after finely tuning the height adjustments for stability.
