Product Description

High-Precision Microscope for Advanced Research and Educational ExplorationHigh-Precision Microscope for Advanced Research and Educational Exploration
Tailored for both middle and high school students, as well as hobbyists eager for a more advanced tool, the SW200DL monocular compound microscope delivers outstanding performance within a robust and resilient frame. Featuring a versatile dual illumination system, the SW200DL is a portable powerhouse ready to transition seamlessly from at-home experiments to science fairs, and beyond!

The SW200DL boasts the optical quality, durable metal construction, convenient carrying handle, and cordless operation from our SW200 model. It's enhanced with a dual illumination system, making it our most potent and adaptable monocular microscope ever! One LED light bulb offers cool, adjustable transmitted lighting from beneath the stage, ideal for examining transparent slide specimens. An additional integrated light on the arm transforms the microscope into a stereo view by illuminating solid objects from above at lower magnifications. Experience a wide range of magnification levels from 40X to an impressive 1000X. Equipped with three high-quality, aberration-correcting DIN objective lenses (4X, 10X, and 40X) and two wide-field glass eyepieces (10X and 25X), it offers brilliantly sharp images with no edge distortion. Crafted with comfort in mind, the monocular head is fixed at a 45-degree angle to reduce neck strain and rotates completely for easy sharing, perfect for classroom or personalized instruction. Featuring precision coaxial focusing knobs on each side of the metal arm, you can make delicate adjustments effortlessly. Securely hold your slides in place with the reliable clips on the plain stage.

Assembly and set up
Gently take the microscope out of the box and position it on a stable, flat surface for optimal use. Remove the protective plastic cover from the eyepiece holder at the top of the microscope, then carefully insert an eyepiece. Find the power adapter and connect it to the microscope, then plug it in. Activate the microscope by pressing the power button.

Using the microscope
Power on the microscope and select the lower lamp setting for your observations. Adjust the brightness of the lamp using the illumination intensity control dimming handwheel to achieve the desired lighting.

Place a slide securely in position using the slide clips on the stage.

Rotate the monocular head to a forward or backward position, depending on your comfort for optimal viewing. Peer through the eyepiece and adjust the light intensity to a comfortable level using the dimmer wheel.

Start with the lowest magnification objective lens, the 4X objective, centered over the stage for the best initial focus. View through the eyepiece and slowly turn the larger coarse adjustment focus knob to bring the stage closer to the objective for an initial focus.

Upon seeing a clear image, switch to the blue fine adjustment focus knob to refine the focus for clarity or explore the specimen's layers. Move the slide manually across the stage to examine different sections of the specimen slide.

Increase the magnification by turning the nosepiece clockwise to a higher magnification objective, ensuring no contact with the slide. If the objective cannot be moved without touching the slide, use the coarse focus knob to lower the stage, creating space before changing magnification.

*For incident mode use, switch the illumination to the upper light embedded in the body for different observations. For exploring solid specimens (e.g., hair, pollen), place them on the stage with the objective lenses set to the lowest magnification. Follow the focusing steps again for magnified details of your specimen.

Caring for your microscope
To maintain the exceptional quality of your microscope, always store it in a cool, dry environment. This ensures its longevity and performance. Protect your investment by using the dust cover to shield the microscope whenever it's not actively in use. For optimal clarity, if cleaning is needed, gently remove dust from lenses using a soft brush or compressed air. Handle with care! To preserve the integrity of the optical components, avoid direct contact and refrain from disassembling any parts. Safeguard the eyepiece and ocular lens from potential damage by using the provided plastic cover when the eyepiece is not in use.
