Assembly and set up
Carefully remove the microscope body from the box and set it on a sturdy, flat surface. Gently extract the microscope head from its packaging and securely attach it to the body using the head locking screw, taking care not to overtighten.

Remove the protective plastic covers from the eyepiece holders on the microscope's head, then insert the eyepieces into the holders. At this point, you may opt to insert the eyepiece adapter into the trinocular camera port on the top of the microscope and place either a third eyepiece into it or mount an eyepiece camera (not included). Locate the power adapter, connect it to the microscope, and plug it in. Activate the microscope by pressing the power button on the back of the base.

Using the microscope
Power the microscope on and Using the intuitive and user-friendly illumination intensity control wheel, you can effortlessly set your microscope's lamp to the optimal brightness setting needed for your observation.

Secure a slide into the slide holder on the stage. Utilize the X-Y translational control knobs located on the right side of the stage to seamlessly move the stage front to back or the slide holder left to right, allowing you to precisely center the specimen over the illuminating bulb.

Adjust the binocular eyepieces to suit your vision by moving them closer together or farther apart until you achieve a single, clear image when you peer through them. Utilize the dimmer wheel to adjust the bulb's brightness to a comfortable level, ensuring that another user can simultaneously view the image through an eyepiece using the trinocular port. Always begin your observations with the lowest power objective lens, which is the 4X objective,

effortlessly positioning it over the stage. As you gaze through the eyepieces, bring the image into sharp focus by gradually turning the larger coarse adjustment focus knob, bringing the stage closer to the objective. Once the image is formed, switch to the blue fine adjustment focus knob, allowing you to fine-tune for crisp clarity or to explore the intricate layers of the specimen you are studying. For enhanced precision, you may also use the diopter adjustment control on the eyepiece holder at this time to further
enhance image clarity. Navigate across the slide by utilizing the X-Y translational control knobs to move the slide holder, ensuring the specimen remains in focus. Boost magnification by gently rotating the nosepiece clockwise to select a higher power

objective, taking special care not to strike the slide with the objective to prevent damage to the specimen, thus preserving the integrity of your observations. glass on the slide, the objective, or both. If you cannot move the objective into place without making contact with the slide, use the coarse focus knob to move the stage down and away to make room before changing magnification.

Adjust the focusing ring on the iris aperture diaphragm to change the resolution of the image. The condenser can be manually moved closer to or farther from the stage by rotating the metal knob.

For best results with the 100X objective, use the included immersion oil. Rotate the nosepiece so that the 100X objective is near, but not on the specimen slide. Then place a drop of the included immersion oil onto the cover slip. Slowly rotate the 100X objective into place so that it comes into contact with the immersion oil. Adjust focus until your specimen comes clearly into view. (Note: Immediately after use, always gently wipe the oil off of the objective lens and the cover slip with lens paper moistened with a small amount of ethyl or isopropyl alcohol. Do not use immersion oil with the 4X, 10X, or 40X objectives.)

The swing-in and swing-out filter holder is at the bottom of Abbe condenser. Swing it out and place a 32mm diameter filter into it, taking care that dust, dirt and fingerprints do not get on the filter and the field lens.

Mounting a camera attachment
Place the eyepiece adapter into the trinocular camera port on the top of the microscope and mount an eyepiece camera (not included) directly on it. If you would like to use a C- mount camera (not included), unscrew the top ring from the eyepiece adapter. You can then use it as a 1X C-mount for the camera.

The parfocality between the eyepieces and the trinocular port has been preset before shipment and should not need adjustment. If necessary, however, you can rotate the parfocal ring in the eyepiece adapter to adjust the adapter height position and resulting parfocality.
