I. Assembling the microscope
The components for the S41-20 microscope are thoughtfully shipped in a detached manner to guarantee supreme protection. Carefully unseal the styrofoam packaging, ensuring no component is left behind. Keep all packing materials until every component is accurately identified. Gently remove the protective plastic covers from the microscope's head and the two gooseneck LED lights, preparing your device for assembly.

Start the assembly process by aligning the stand connector with the supportive pillar on the vertical pillar, ensuring a secure fit by tightening the fastening knobs. Then, gracefully attach the working arm to the stand connector, followed by the precise affixing of the focus block connector to the microscope head. Conclude the setup by elegantly linking the working arm and focus block connector using the provided focus block fixing knob.

Gently locate the power cord and attach it to the microscope, then plug it into an appropriate power source. Activate the power switch found at the back of the microscope stand to bring your sophisticated equipment to life, ready for illuminating discoveries.

II. Using the microscope

Interpupillary adjustment
Delicately adjust the two eyepiece tubes until a singular, circular field is visible through both eyepieces. Separate circles suggest a too-wide interpupillary distance, while overlapping circles indicate a distance too narrow. The eyepiece tube is designed to allow flexible adjustment of the interpupillary distance between 54 and 76mm, ensuring a personalized fit for every user.

Focusing the microscope
To achieve a perfectly sharp focus on your sample, utilize the focusing knobs on either side of the head holder. Rotating these knobs will move the microscope up or down through an innovative 'rack and pinion' mechanism, providing precise control over the clarity of your observation.

Use the focusing knob to secure a crystal-clear image. If the sample remains out of focus even within the travel range of the S303/S304 pole arm and stand, adjust the microscope head height along the vertical pillar to an exact working distance of 230mm from the sample. Secure the position by tightening the locking screw and support collar after making the necessary height adjustments.
