I. Assembling the microscope
The components for the S41-20 microscope are shipped detached to ensure maximum protection during transit. Carefully open the styrofoam packing, ensuring no components remain attached to the packing material as it is removed. Retain all packing materials until all components are successfully identified. Proceed to remove the protective plastic covers from the microscope head and the two gooseneck LED lights, preparing them for assembly.

Begin by assembling the stand connector and its supporting pillar on the vertical pillar, making sure to securely tighten the fastening knobs. Next, attach the working arm to the stand connector, and the focus block connector to the microscope head. Finally, join the working arm and focus block connector using the focus block fixing knob, ensuring stability and precision.

Next, locate the power cord, firmly connect it to the microscope, and plug it into the power source. Activate the power switch located on the back of the microscope stand to bring your device to life.

II. Using the microscope

Interpupillary adjustment
Gently adjust the two eyepiece tubes until a singular circular field is visible through both eyepieces. If two separate circles are visible, the interpupillary distance is too wide; if the circles overlap, the distance is too narrow. The eyepiece tubes offer a flexible adjustment range from 54 to 76mm, allowing for a personalized and comfortable viewing experience.

Focusing the microscope
To achieve a precise focus on your sample, utilize the focusing knobs located on either side of the head holder. Turning these knobs allows the microscope to move vertically, facilitated by a reliable 'rack and pinion' mechanism, ensuring sharp and clear images.

Utilize the focusing knob to achieve crystal-clear imagery. If the sample is not focused within the travel range of the S303/S304 pole arm and stand, adjust the microscope head height along the vertical pillar to a working distance of 230mm from the sample. Be sure to tighten the locking screw and support collar after adjusting the microscope's height for consistent accuracy.
