Assembly and Setup
Begin your scientific journey by gently removing the microscope from its packaging and placing it on a secure, flat surface. Carefully detach the protective plastic cover from the eyepiece holder located on the microscope's head, and securely insert an eyepiece into the holder. Connect the power adapter and plug it in. Activate the microscope with the power button to unveil the wonders of microscopy.
Using the Microscope
Power up the microscope and select the lower lamp setting. Fine-tune the illumination with the intensity control dimming handwheel, dimming the lamp to its lowest brightness for an optimal and comfortable viewing experience tailored to your needs.
Secure your slide on the stage using the slide clips, preparing for an in-depth examination of your carefully chosen specimen.
Gently swivel the monocular head to either a forward or backward-facing position for comfortable viewing. Look through the eyepiece and adjust the bulb brightness using the dimmer wheel to achieve a superior visual experience customized to your preferences.
Begin your observation with the lowest magnification objective lens, the 4x, centered over the stage. Peer through the eyepiece and refine the image by rotating the larger coarse adjustment focus knob, moving the stage closer to the objective for a sharply defined view.
Once an image is achieved, transition to the blue fine adjustment focus knob to enhance clarity or to explore different specimen layers. Glide the slide manually across the stage to thoroughly investigate various sections of the specimen slide.
To increase magnification, rotate the nosepiece clockwise to select a higher magnification objective, taking care to avoid contact with the slide. If necessary, use the coarse focus knob to lower the stage, creating ample space before switching magnification.
*For incident mode usage, switch the illumination to the upper light embedded in the microscope's body. Place a solid sample (such as hair or pollen) on the stage with the objective lenses at the lowest magnification. Follow the focusing steps to unveil magnified details with precision and clarity.
Caring for Your Microscope
To preserve the exceptional quality and performance of your precision microscope, it is essential to maintain it in a cool, dry environment. For utmost protection, always cover the microscope with the provided dust cover when not in use. Should cleaning be necessary, gently use a soft brush or compressed air to remove dust from the lenses. Please refrain from directly touching optical surfaces, and avoid disassembling optical components. Ensure the eyepiece holder and ocular lens are covered with the plastic cover when the eyepiece is not in use, safeguarding your microscope's integrity.
