Assembly and Setup

Embark on your scientific voyage by gently extracting the microscope from its packaging and positioning it on a stable, flat surface. Carefully remove the protective plastic cover from the eyepiece holder located on the microscope's head, and securely insert an eyepiece into the holder. Connect the power adapter and plug it in. Activate the microscope with the power button, unveiling the captivating world of microscopy.

Using the Microscope
Turn on the microscope and choose the lower lamp setting. Adjust the illumination using the intensity control dimming handwheel, reducing the lamp to its lowest brightness for an optimal and comfortable viewing experience.
Secure your slide on the stage with the slide clips, preparing for a detailed examination of your selected specimen.

Gently rotate the monocular head to either the forward or backward-facing position for comfortable viewing. Look through the eyepiece and adjust the bulb brightness with the dimmer wheel to attain a superior visual experience tailored to your preferences.

Commence your investigation with the lowest magnification objective lens, the 4x, centered over the stage. Peer through the eyepiece and fine-tune the image by rotating the larger coarse adjustment focus knob, which precisely moves the stage closer to the objective for a sharply defined view.

Once an image is achieved, masterfully transition to the blue fine adjustment focus knob to enhance clarity or explore different layers of the specimen. Move the slide gently across the stage manually to thoroughly investigate various sections of the specimen slide.

To elevate your magnification, turn the nosepiece clockwise to choose a higher magnification objective, taking care to avoid contact with the slide. If needed, use the coarse focus knob to lower the stage, creating a safe space before switching magnification.

*For using the microscope in incident mode, switch the illumination to the upper light embedded in the microscope's body. Position a solid sample, like hair or pollen, on the stage with the objective lenses at the lowest magnification. Follow the focusing steps to unveil magnified details with precision and clarity.

Caring for Your Microscope

To ensure your esteemed Precision Microscope Sw150 operates at its absolute best, it is crucial to store this sophisticated instrument in a cool, dry environment. For superior protection when the microscope is not in use, make the most of the supplied dust cover. If cleaning becomes necessary, gently use a soft brush or compressed air to remove any dust from the lenses. It is important to remember to avoid touching the optical surfaces directly and refrain from disassembling any optical components. Always secure the eyepiece holder and ocular lens with the protective plastic cover when the eyepiece is not being used, safeguarding the integrity of your equipment.
