Assembly and set up

Begin your microscopy journey by carefully unboxing your microscope and situating it on a stable, flat surface. Remove the plastic shield from the eyepiece holder on the head, then insert an eyepiece. Connect the power adapter to the microscope and plug it in. Activate the microscope by pressing the power button.

Using the microscope
Power on the microscope and opt for the lower lamp setting. Utilize the illumination intensity control dimming handwheel to adjust the lamp to the desired minimal brightness for optimal viewing.
Securely position a slide using the stage's slide clips for steady examination.

Adjust the monocular head to a forward- or backward-facing orientation for optimal viewing comfort. Peering through the eyepiece, adjust the bulb brightness to a comfortable level using the dimmer wheel.

Commence with the lowest magnification objective lens, centering the 4x objective over the stage. Through the eyepiece, slowly fine-tune the coarse adjustment focus knob, bringing the stage closer to the objective, to achieve a focused image.

Upon achieving an initial image, switch to the blue fine adjustment focus knob for enhanced clarity or to examine varying layers of the specimen. Manually shift the slide across the stage to explore different sections of your specimen.

To magnify further, rotate the nosepiece clockwise to select a higher magnification objective. Exercise caution to avoid contact with the slide. If needed, use the coarse focus knob to lower the stage for clearance before changing magnification settings.

For incident mode usage, switch the illumination to activate the upper body light. Place a solid specimen, such as hair or pollen, onto the stage, ensuring objective lenses are on the lowest magnification setting. Follow standard focusing procedures to reveal intricate magnified details.

Caring for your microscope

To maintain its pristine condition, store your microscope in a cool, dry environment. Always use the dust cover when not in use. Clean lenses gently with a soft brush or compressed air without direct contact with optical surfaces. Do not disassemble optical components. When the eyepiece is unused, cover the eyepiece holder and ocular lens with a plastic shield.
