Assembly and set up

Gently unbox your microscope and position it on a stable, level surface. Remove the plastic cover from the eyepiece holder atop the microscope's head, and place an eyepiece securely into the holder. Connect the power adapter to the microscope, plugging it in securely, and power it up by pressing the power button.

Using the microscope
Power on your microscope and select the lower lamp setting. Adjust the illumination with the control dimming handwheel to set the lamp to its lowest brightness for optimal viewing comfort.
Place a slide securely on the stage using the provided slide clips, ensuring stability during observation.

Adjust the monocular head to either a forward- or backward-facing position for comfortable viewing. As you gaze through the eyepiece, fine-tune the bulb brightness to a preferred intensity using the dimmer wheel.

Start your exploration with the lowest magnification objective lens, centering the 4x objective over the stage. Peer through the eyepiece and slowly rotate the large coarse adjustment focus knob to bring the stage closer to the objective, refining your focus.

Once the image is visible, switch to the blue fine adjustment focus knob to enhance clarity or explore the specimen's intricate layers. Manually navigate the slide across the stage to reveal different specimen areas.

To increase magnification, smoothly rotate the nosepiece clockwise to a higher magnification objective, ensuring you do not touch the slide. If the objective cannot move into place, adjust the coarse focus knob to lower the stage, creating room before increasing magnification.

*For incident mode observation, switch the illumination to the built-in upper light. Position a solid specimen, such as hair or pollen, on the stage with the objective lenses set to the lowest magnification. Follow the focusing steps to reveal magnified details.

Caring for your microscope

To maintain your microscope's precision, store it in a cool, dry environment and use the dust cover when not in use. Clean lenses with a soft brush or compressed air to gently remove dust, and avoid direct contact with optical surfaces. Never disassemble optical components, and use a plastic cover to protect the eyepiece holder and ocular lens when not in use.

Troubleshooting

Encountering an issue? You might resolve it yourself with these common troubleshooting tips before reaching out to customer support. Here are some typical problems and simple solutions to try.
