Assembly and set up
Gently unpack the microscope from its box and position it on a solid, level surface to begin your setup. Remove the protective plastic covers from the eyepiece holders located on the microscope's head, then place the eyepieces securely into their holders. At this stage, you may opt to insert the eyepiece adapter into the trinocular camera port located at the top of the microscope. You can either place a third eyepiece into it or mount an eyepiece camera (sold separately) to enhance your observational experience. Find the power adapter and connect it to the microscope. Plug it in and power the microscope on by pressing the button located on the back of the base.

Using the microscope
Switch on the microscope and utilize the illumination intensity control wheel to preset the lamp to its lowest brightness setting, preparing it for use.

Secure a slide into the holder positioned on the stage for examination. Adjust the X-Y translational control knobs on the right side of the stage to maneuver the stage front-to-back or direct the slide holder left-to-right, centering the specimen precisely over the bulb.

Bring the binocular eyepieces together or separate them until a single unified image appears when peering through them. Modify the bulb's brightness to a comfortable level using the dimmer wheel for optimal viewing conditions.

Initiate your exploration with the lowest power objective lens-begin with the 4X objective-accurately centered over the stage. Peer through the eyepieces and adjust the coarse adjustment focus knob gently, drawing the stage closer to the objective to bring the image into view. After forming a clear image, transition to the blue fine adjustment focus knob to sharpen clarity further or explore various specimen layers. Enhance image clarity by employing the diopter adjustment control on the eyepiece holder. Explore different sections of the slide once the specimen is focused using the X-Y translational control knobs to shift the slide holder.

Scale up your magnification by rotating the nosepiece clockwise to select a higher magnification objective. Exercise caution to avoid contact with the slide, which could harm the slide glass, objective lens, or both. If the objective contacts the slide, adjust the coarse focus knob to lower the stage, creating space before altering magnification.

Refine image resolution by adjusting the focusing ring on the iris aperture diaphragm. Manually adjust the condenser closer or farther from the stage by turning the metal knob for optimal clarity.

To achieve superior results with the 100X objective, employ the provided immersion oil. Gently rotate the nosepiece to position the 100X objective lens close to, but not touching, the specimen slide. This careful maneuver ensures precise alignment for optimal microscopic examination. Subsequently, apply a drop of the premium immersion oil provided onto the cover slip. This step is crucial for enhancing the clarity and resolution of your microscopic observations. With deliberate precision, rotate the 100X objective into position until it delicately contacts the immersion oil, establishing a seamless connection for superior visual acuity. Adjust the focus knobs with finesse until your specimen comes into sharp and vivid clarity, allowing for detailed and insightful analysis of the intricate details. (Note: To maintain the pristine condition of your objective lens and cover slip, gently wipe off any excess oil immediately after use with lens paper slightly moistened with ethyl or isopropyl alcohol. Remember, immersion oil is strictly for use with the 100X objective; refrain from using it on the 4X, 10X, or 40X objectives to avoid damage.)

The innovative swing-in and swing-out filter holder is strategically located at the base of the Abbe condenser, providing easy access for filter adjustments. Swing out the holder to insert a 32mm diameter filter, ensuring it remains free of dust, dirt, and fingerprints to maintain the purity of your microscopic view.
