I. Assembling the microscope
The components for the S7 series microscopes are shipped detached for protection. Carefully open the Styrofoam packaging, ensuring no components are inadvertently left attached to the materials. Retain all packing materials until every component has been identified and verified.
Handle components with care, avoiding contact with optical lenses to maintain pristine image clarity.
Ensure that microscope assembly is conducted on a stable, flat surface for reliable performance.
II. Using the microscope
Interpupillary adjustment
Adjust the eyepiece tubes for a unified circular field, ensuring a seamless viewing experience. Two circles visible indicate excessive interpupillary distance; overlapping circles suggest insufficient distance, necessitating adjustment. The eyepiece tube offers adjustable interpupillary distance from 54 to 76mm to accommodate various users.
Focusing the microscope
Achieve focus using the dual side focusing knobs with a precise 'rack and pinion' mechanism. Adjust tension with the right knob's tension control.
Begin with the highest magnification setting for clarity. Adjust height on the pole if needed, securing it with the locking screw and support collar.
