Assembly and set up
Gently remove the microscope body from the box and set it on a sturdy, flat surface. Carefully remove the microscope head from the box and secure it to the body with the head locking screw, taking care not to overtighten.
Detach the plastic covers from the eyepiece holders on the microscope's head, and then place the eyepieces into the holders. Optionally, insert the eyepiece adapter into the trinocular camera port on the top of the microscope and place either a third eyepiece into it, or mount an eyepiece camera (not included). Locate the power adapter and connect it to the microscope, then plug it in. Power up the microscope by pressing the power button Position the switch conveniently on the back of the base.
Using the microscope
Gently turn the microscope on and appropriately use the illumination intensity control wheel to set the lamp to its lowest brightness setting for initial observation.
Gently clip a slide into the slide holder on the stage. Use the X-Y translational control knobs located on the right side of the stage to seamlessly move the stage front to back or adjust the slide holder left to right in order to perfectly center the specimen directly over the bulb for optimal viewing.
Adjust the binocular eyepieces, moving them closer together or further apart until you have a single, clear image when you look through them effortlessly. Carefully adjust the brightness of the bulb to a comfortable intensity with the dimmer wheel. Additionally, note that another user can simultaneously observe the image through using an eyepiece equipped with the trinocular port for dual-viewing capacity.
Begin with the lowest power objective lens, in this case the 4X objective, perfectly centered over the stage. Peer through the eyepieces and bring the image into sharp focus by gently turning the larger coarse adjustment focus knob to bring the stage closer to the objective lens. Once the image forms, switch to the blue fine adjustment focus knob to deftly fine-tune the image for crystal-clear clarity or to explore the various intricate layers of the specimen. You may also utilize the diopter adjustment control on the eyepiece holder at this time to further
fine-tune image clarity. Explore other parts of the slide by using the X-Y translational control knobs for enhanced viewing precision. Effortlessly move the slide holder after the specimen is in perfect focus.
Enhance your observation by elegantly increasing magnification; gently rotate the nosepiece clockwise to achieve a higher magnification. objective. Be cautious not to strike the slide with the objective, as this may cause damage to the delicate glass of the slide, the objective, or both. If you encounter difficulty in moving the objective into position without contact with the slide, employ the coarse focus knob to gracefully move the stage down and away, creating ample room before adjusting magnification.
Delicately adjust the focusing ring on the iris aperture diaphragm to alter the resolution of your image. Manually adjust the condenser, bringing it closer to or farther from the stage by rotating the sturdy metal knob.
To achieve optimal results with the 100X objective, apply the included specialized immersion oil. Carefully rotate the nosepiece so the 100X objective is near, yet not touching the specimen slide. Place a precise drop of the included immersion oil onto the cover slip. Gradually rotate the 100X objective into place until it gently meets the immersion oil. Adjust focus for a crystal-clear view of your specimen. After your observations, carefully remove the oil from the objective lens and cover slip, using lens paper moistened with a minimal amount of cleaner to ensure clarity and longevity. Ensure you only use a specified amount of ethyl or isopropyl alcohol for optimal performance. Please remember, immersion oil should never be used with the 4X, 10X, or 40X objectives to maintain their pristine condition. objectives.)
At the bottom of the Abbe condenser, discover the ingeniously designed swing-in and swing-out filter holder. To utilize, gently swing it out and expertly place a 32mm diameter filter inside. Exercise caution to prevent dust, dirt, and fingerprints from tarnishing the filter and the field lens.
