Securely insert the eyepieces into their designated holders for optimal use. Enhance your viewing experience by adding an eyepiece adapter to the trinocular camera port. This allows for a third eyepiece or the integration of an eyepiece camera (available separately). Locate the power adapter, connect it to your microscope, and plug it in. Switch on the microscope by pressing the power button located at the rear of the base.
Using the Microscope
Begin by activating the microscope. Use the illumination intensity control wheel to set the lamp to the lowest brightness, ensuring optimal visual comfort.
Firmly secure a slide in the holder on the microscope stage, ensuring it is ready for close examination. Employ the X-Y translational control knobs on the right side of the stage to adjust the stage's position, centering the specimen over the light source for a clearer view.
Adjust the binocular eyepieces by moving them until a single, unified image emerges, offering a cohesive viewing experience. Adjust the bulb brightness to your preference using the dimmer wheel, ensuring optimal lighting for your observations.
Start your exploration with the 4X objective lens, ensuring it is accurately centered over the stage for an ideal starting point. Peer through the eyepieces and use the coarse adjustment focus knob to draw the stage near the objective, bringing the image into clear focus. Once the initial image is visible, utilize the fine adjustment focus knob to achieve precise clarity, unveiling the intricate layers of your specimen. Refine your focus further with the diopter adjustment on the eyepiece holder, ensuring the image is sharp and clear. Investigate additional areas of the slide by using the X-Y translational knobs to reposition the holder after achieving focus.
To increase magnification, smoothly rotate the nosepiece clockwise to engage a higher magnification objective, carefully avoiding contact with the slide to prevent any damage. To smoothly align the objective without interference with the slide, utilize the coarse focus knob to gently lower the stage. This creates an ample gap, allowing you to adjust magnification effortlessly and precisely.
Effortlessly enhance image clarity by manipulating the focusing ring on the iris aperture diaphragm, enabling you to achieve your preferred resolution with precision. Achieve your desired illumination by expertly adjusting the condenser. Manually rotate the metal knob to move it closer or farther from the stage, ensuring optimal light distribution.
Unlock the full potential of the 100X objective by applying the premium-quality immersion oil included, ensuring unparalleled performance and clarity. With precision and care, rotate the nosepiece until the 100X objective lens is perfectly aligned with your specimen slide, granting you exceptional control and precision. Delicately apply a drop of the premium immersion oil provided onto the cover slip, ensuring maximum clarity and resolution for your observations. With a steady hand, smoothly rotate the 100X objective into position, ensuring it seamlessly connects with the immersion oil, elevating your visualization experience. Artfully adjust the focus, bringing your specimen into sharp and crystal-clear view, revealing even the most intricate details with remarkable clarity. (Important Notice: After use, gently cleanse the immersion oil from the objective lens and cover slip with lens paper lightly moistened with ethyl or isopropyl alcohol. Remember, immersion oil is exclusively for use with the 100X objective and not compatible with the 4X, 10X, or 40X objectives.)
