I. Assembling the Microscope
The components for the S41-20 microscope are meticulously packaged and shipped detached to ensure maximum protection. Carefully open the styrofoam packing, ensuring no components remain attached during unpacking. Retain all packing materials until each component has been thoroughly identified. Gently remove the protective plastic covers from both the microscope's head and the two gooseneck LED lights.

Begin by assembling the stand connector and its supporting pillar onto the vertical pillar, making sure to tighten the fastening knobs securely. Next, attach the working arm to the stand connector and connect the focus block connector to the microscope head. Finally, link the working arm and the focus block connector using the focus block fixing knob for a robust setup.

Locate the power cord, connect it to the microscope, and plug it into an appropriate power source. Activate the power switch conveniently located on the back of the microscope stand to power up the device.

II. Using the Microscope

Interpupillary Adjustment
Adjust the two eyepiece tubes until a single, unified circular field is visible through both eyepieces. If two separate circles appear, the interpupillary distance is excessive; if circles overlap, the distance is insufficient. The eyepiece tube offers flexible adjustment of the interpupillary distance, ranging from 54 to 76mm, accommodating various users' needs.

Focusing the Microscope
To achieve precise focus on your sample, utilize the focusing knobs located on either side of the head holder. By turning these knobs, you can smoothly move the microscope up or down, courtesy of an advanced 'rack and pinion' mechanism, enhancing your viewing experience.

Using the focusing knob, fine-tune the focus until the image is crystal clear. If the desired focus falls outside the travel range of the S303/S304 pole arm and stand, adjust the microscope head height along the vertical pillar to achieve a working distance of 230mm from the sample. Ensure to tighten the locking screw and support collar post-adjustment for stability.
