Assembly and set up
To assemble, carefully lift the microscope from its packaging and place it on a stable, flat surface. Remove the protective plastic from the eyepiece holder on the microscope's head and insert an eyepiece securely. Locate and connect the power adapter to the microscope, then plug it into an outlet. Activate the microscope by pressing the power button.
Using the microscope
Power up the microscope and select the lower lamp setting. Fine-tune the illumination using the dimming handwheel to achieve the lamp's lowest brightness for initial observations.
To begin examination, secure your slide with the stage's slide clips.
Adjust the monocular head to a forward or backward position that feels most comfortable for viewing. Peer through the eyepiece and adjust the bulb's brightness to a pleasant level using the dimmer wheel for optimal vision.
Start your investigation with the 4x objective lens, centered over the stage. Look through the eyepiece and bring the specimen into focus by gently turning the larger coarse adjustment focus knob, moving the stage nearer to the objective.
Once the specimen is visible, switch to the blue fine adjustment focus knob to sharpen clarity or explore different specimen layers. Manually glide the slide across the stage to examine various specimen sections.
Elevate your exploration by rotating the nosepiece clockwise to engage a higher magnification objective. Ensure the objective does not contact the slide; if needed, use the coarse focus knob to adjust the stage downward, creating space before increasing magnification.
*For incident mode usage, activate the upper light within the microscope's body. Position a solid specimen (like hair or pollen) onto the stage with the objective lenses on the lowest setting. Follow previous focusing steps to observe magnified details.
Caring for your microscope
Preserve the quality of your microscope by storing it in a cool, dry environment. Protect it with the dust cover when not in use. For cleaning, use a soft brush or compressed air to gently clear dust from lenses-avoid direct contact with optical surfaces and never disassemble optical components. When an eyepiece is unused, safeguard the eyepiece holder and ocular lens with the plastic cover.
