Assembly and set up
Begin your exploration by carefully unboxing the microscope and placing it securely on a sturdy, flat surface to ensure stability during use. Prepare the microscope by removing the protective plastic covers from the eyepiece holders, then insert the eyepieces into their designated holders for optimal performance. At this point, you have the option to enhance your setup by inserting the eyepiece adapter into the trinocular camera port atop the microscope, allowing for the addition of a third eyepiece or the installation of an eyepiece camera (not included), expanding your viewing capabilities. Locate your power adapter, connect it to the microscope, and then plug it in. Power up the device by pressing the power button located at the back of the base, activating your microscope.

Using the microscope
Switch on the microscope and utilize the illumination intensity control wheel to set the lamp to the lowest brightness setting, conserving energy and ensuring a comfortable viewing experience.

Secure your specimen by clipping a slide into the slide holder on the stage, readying it for examination. Navigate the stage with precision using the X-Y translational control knobs positioned on the right, allowing you to move the stage front to back or shift the slide holder left to right, centering the specimen over the illuminating bulb.

Adjust the binocular eyepieces closer together or further apart to achieve a unified image, ensuring a seamless and immersive observational experience. Tailor the bulb brightness to your preference by using the dimmer wheel, creating an optimal viewing environment.

Initiate your observation with the lowest power objective lens, the 4X objective, ensuring it is centered over the stage for a foundational view of your specimen. Peer through the eyepieces and bring your image into sharp focus by carefully turning the larger coarse adjustment focus knob, drawing the stage incrementally closer to the objective lens. Once your image is clear, refine it further using the blue fine adjustment focus knob, enhancing clarity to reveal the various layers and details of the specimen under examination. Enhance image sharpness with the diopter adjustment control on the eyepiece holder, allowing for precise fine-tuning tailored to your eye's needs. Explore different regions of your slide by utilizing the X-Y translational control knobs to maneuver the slide holder, ensuring comprehensive coverage of your specimen's details.

Elevate your magnification experience by rotating the nosepiece clockwise to select a higher magnification objective. Be mindful to avoid contact with the slide, which could potentially harm the glass or the objective lens. If you encounter difficulty moving the objective into position without touching the slide, use the coarse focus knob to lower the stage, creating ample space before adjusting the magnification.

Enhance your image resolution by adjusting the focusing ring on the iris aperture diaphragm, allowing for a clearer and more detailed view of your specimen. The condenser's position is adjustable, allowing it to move closer to or further from the stage by rotating the metal knob, tailoring the light focus to suit your observation needs.

For optimal results with the 100X objective lens, apply the included immersion oil, significantly enhancing the clarity and detail of your microscopic observations. Begin by rotating the nosepiece gently to position the 100X objective lens close to, yet not directly touching, the specimen slide, ensuring precision and safety. Next, carefully apply a single drop of the included immersion oil atop the cover slip to facilitate clearer observation. Gradually rotate the 100X objective lens into position until it delicately meets the immersion oil, optimizing your viewing experience. Skillfully adjust the focus until your specimen is vividly and crisply visible, bringing your observation to life. (Note: Post-use, always gently clean the oil from the objective lens and cover slip using lens paper lightly moistened with ethyl or isopropyl alcohol. Importantly, avoid applying immersion oil with the 4X, 10X, or 40X objectives to maintain their integrity.)

Located at the base of the Abbe condenser, the swing-in and swing-out filter holder is designed for ultimate convenience and utility. Simply swing out the holder, place a 32mm diameter filter within it, and ensure that no dust, dirt, or fingerprints mar the filter or field lens for optimum performance.
