Assembly and set up

Gently lift the microscope from its packaging and position it on a stable, level surface to begin your setup. Carefully remove the protective plastic covers from the eyepiece holders located on the microscope's head, and proceed to insert the eyepieces securely into their respective holders. You have the option to enhance your observation experience by inserting the eyepiece adapter into the trinocular camera port atop the microscope. This allows for the addition of either a third eyepiece or an eyepiece camera (sold separately). Locate the power adapter, connect it to the microscope, and plug it in. Power the microscope on by pressing the power button positioned on the rear of the base.

Using the microscope
Activate the microscope and use the illumination intensity control wheel to initially set the lamp to the lowest brightness setting for optimal comfort.

Gently secure a slide into the slide holder on the stage, ensuring it is firmly in place for observation. Utilize the X-Y translational control knobs on the stage's right side to precisely maneuver the stage front to back, or adjust the slide holder left to right, centering the specimen directly over the bulb for clear viewing.

Adjust the binocular eyepieces by moving them closer together or further apart until a single, cohesive image comes into view when looking through them. Fine-tune the bulb brightness to a comfortable level using the dimmer wheel for optimal illumination.

Always initiate observation with the lowest power objective lens, starting with the 4X objective, ensuring it is properly centered over the stage. Peer through the eyepieces and delicately bring the image into focus by turning the larger coarse adjustment focus knob, drawing the stage closer to the objective. Once the image materializes, shift to the blue fine adjustment focus knob to precisely refine the clarity, revealing the various layers of the specimen under examination. Enhance image clarity further by utilizing the diopter adjustment control located on the eyepiece holder, ensuring sharp focus. Explore additional sections of the slide by employing the X-Y translational control knobs to reposition the slide holder after the specimen is in focus.

Elevate magnification by smoothly rotating the nosepiece clockwise to engage a higher magnification objective, taking care to avoid contact with the slide to prevent damage. If the objective cannot be aligned without touching the slide, use the coarse focus knob to lower the stage, creating ample space before adjusting magnification.

Manipulate the focusing ring on the iris aperture diaphragm to modify the image resolution to your preference. Adjust the condenser by manually rotating the metal knob, moving it nearer or farther from the stage to achieve desired illumination.

Maximize the performance of the 100X objective by applying the included immersion oil for superior results. Gently rotate the nosepiece until the 100X objective lens is positioned near your specimen slide-precise control at your fingertips. Carefully apply a drop of the premium included immersion oil onto the cover slip for optimal clarity and resolution. With steady hands, gradually rotate the 100X objective into its place, ensuring it seamlessly contacts the immersion oil for enhanced visualization. Skillfully adjust the focus to bring your specimen into sharp, clear view, unveiling the finest details. (Important Note: Post-use, gently wipe off the immersion oil from both the objective lens and cover slip using lens paper moistened with a small amount of ethyl or isopropyl alcohol. Remember, immersion oil should never be used with the 4X, 10X, or 40X objectives.)

The innovative swing-in and swing-out filter holder is conveniently positioned at the base of the Abbe condenser. Swing the holder out and precisely insert a 32mm diameter filter, ensuring it's free from dust, dirt, and fingerprints for unblemished imaging.
