Assembly and set up
Begin your journey by carefully unboxing the microscope and placing it on a stable, flat surface to ensure a firm foundation for your explorations. Remove the protective plastic covers from the eyepiece holders on the microscope's head, and gently insert the eyepieces. This simple step sets the stage for immersive and detailed observation. At this point, you have the option to enhance your setup by inserting the eyepiece adapter into the trinocular camera port. This allows you to place a third eyepiece or mount an eyepiece camera (camera not included) for advanced viewing options. Find the power adapter, connect it to the microscope, and plug it into a power source. Activate the microscope by pressing the power button located at the back of the base, signaling the start of your scientific exploration.

Using the microscope
Switch on the microscope and use the illumination intensity control wheel to set the lamp to its lowest brightness setting, preparing the stage for delicate observation.

Place a slide into the slide holder on the stage, ensuring a secure and stable platform for your specimen. Utilize the X-Y translational control knobs located on the right side of the stage to maneuver the stage front to back or the slide holder left to right. This allows you to precisely center the specimen over the light source for optimal viewing.

Adjust the binocular eyepieces closer together or further apart until a single image fills your view, enhancing your observation experience. Modify the bulb brightness to a comfortable intensity using the dimmer wheel, creating the perfect lighting conditions for your study.

Always commence with the lowest power objective lens, specifically the 4X objective, centered over the stage. This ensures a broad overview before delving into finer details. Peer through the eyepieces and slowly turn the larger coarse adjustment focus knob to bring the stage closer to the objective, gradually bringing the image into focus. Once a clear image forms, transition to the fine adjustment focus knob to fine-tune the clarity or explore the detailed layers of your specimen. Enhance image clarity further by using the diopter adjustment control on the eyepiece holder, fine-tuning your focus to perfect your view. Explore different parts of the slide by using the X-Y translational control knobs to maneuver the slide holder once your specimen is in sharp focus.

For greater magnification, rotate the nosepiece clockwise to select a higher magnification objective. Take care to avoid contact between the objective and slide to prevent damage. If adjusting the objective risks contact with the slide, use the coarse focus knob to move the stage downward, creating space before changing magnification.

Modify the resolution of your image by adjusting the focusing ring on the iris aperture diaphragm, tailoring the optical clarity to your preference. Manually adjust the condenser by rotating the metal knob to move it closer to or farther from the stage, optimizing your image's brightness and contrast.

For optimal results with the 100X objective, employ the included immersion oil, enhancing the clarity and definition of your observations. To begin your exploration with our Compact Binocular Microscope-perfect for both advanced hobbyists and students-gently rotate the nosepiece until the 100X objective lens hovers near the specimen slide, without making contact. Carefully place a drop of the specially included immersion oil right onto the cover slip. This crucial step prepares the slide for high-powered observation. Now, with precision, slowly rotate the 100X objective into position so that it softly meets the immersion oil, creating an optimal environment for detailed viewing. Adjust the focus meticulously until your specimen emerges in sharp, vivid clarity. Witness the microscopic world like never before. (Note: Post-observation, ensure the longevity of your microscope by gently cleaning the objective lens and cover slip with lens paper moistened with a touch of ethyl or isopropyl alcohol. Remember, avoid using immersion oil with the 4X, 10X, or 40X objectives for best results.)

Our design features an innovative swing-in and swing-out filter holder located at the base of the Abbe condenser, enhancing your microscopy experience. Extend the filter holder outward and place a pristine 32mm diameter filter into it, ensuring cleanliness by avoiding dust, dirt, and fingerprints on both the filter and field lens.

Mounting a camera attachment is made effortless with our user-friendly design.

To capture breathtaking images, simply position the eyepiece adapter into the trinocular camera port atop the microscope, then mount your eyepiece camera (not included). For a C-mount camera (not included), just unscrew the top ring from the adapter to use it as a 1X C-mount.

The parfocality between the eyepieces and the trinocular port is expertly calibrated prior to delivery. Should adjustment be needed, rotate the parfocal ring within the eyepiece adapter to modify the adapter height and achieve perfect parfocality.
