Assembly and set up
Begin by gently extracting the microscope from its packaging and positioning it on a stable, flat surface to ensure a secure foundation for assembly. Carefully detach the protective plastic covers from the eyepiece holders located on the microscope's head, then proceed to insert the eyepieces into their designated holders with precision. At this juncture, you have the option to enhance your viewing experience by inserting the eyepiece adapter into the trinocular camera port atop the microscope, allowing for the addition of a third eyepiece or the installation of an eyepiece camera (not included). Identify the power adapter and securely connect it to the microscope. Once connected, energize the device by engaging the power button located on the rear of the base.

Using the microscope
Initiate the microscope's operation by activating it and adjusting the illumination intensity control wheel to set the lamp to its lowest brightness setting, conserving energy while optimizing visual clarity.

Securely affix a slide into the slide holder positioned on the stage, preparing it for detailed examination. Utilize the X-Y translational control knobs situated on the stage's right side to maneuver the stage either front to back or adjust the slide holder left to right, centering the specimen directly over the illuminating bulb.

For optimal viewing, adjust the binocular eyepieces by moving them closer or farther apart until a single, cohesive image appears when observed through the eyepieces. Employ the dimmer wheel to delicately fine-tune the bulb's brightness, achieving a comfortable light intensity for the most effective observation.

Begin your examination with the 4X objective lens, meticulously positioned at the stage's center, to establish a foundational view of the specimen. Peer through the eyepieces and meticulously bring the image into focus by gradually rotating the larger coarse adjustment focus knob, drawing the stage nearer to the objective. Upon the image's formation, transition to the blue fine adjustment focus knob to enhance clarity or explore the nuanced layers of the specimen under review. Additionally, the diopter adjustment control on the eyepiece holder can be employed at this stage to further refine image clarity for an unrivaled visual experience. Once the specimen is sharply in focus, explore various sections of the slide by utilizing the X-Y translational control knobs to reposition the slide holder as needed.

For a closer examination, elevate the magnification by rotating the nosepiece clockwise to a higher magnification objective. Exercise caution to ensure the slide remains unscathed, preventing potential damage to both the glass slide and objective lenses. If the objective lens cannot be transitioned into place without encountering the slide, employ the coarse focus knob to gently lower the stage, creating ample space for safe magnification adjustments.

Subtly alter the resolution of the image by adjusting the focusing ring on the iris aperture diaphragm, enhancing the precision and detail of your observations. Effortlessly customize the distance of the condenser from the stage by manipulating the metal knob, fine-tuning illumination for optimum specimen visibility.

For achieving superior optical results with the 100X objective lens, utilize the provided immersion oil as recommended by microscopy experts. Gently rotate the nosepiece until the 100X objective is positioned close to, but not touching, the specimen slide. This careful approach ensures precision and accuracy in your observations. Next, apply a drop of the specially included immersion oil onto the cover slip. This step is crucial for enhancing the clarity and resolution of your microscopic view. With a steady hand, slowly rotate the 100X objective into position, allowing it to delicately meet the immersion oil. This technique ensures a seamless connection for optimal image quality. Adjust the focus until your specimen is brought into sharp, clear view, revealing the intricacies of its structure and details that are otherwise invisible to the naked eye. (Important: After each use, promptly and carefully wipe off any oil from the objective lens and cover slip with lens paper slightly moistened with ethyl or isopropyl alcohol. Refrain from using immersion oil with the 4X, 10X, or 40X objectives to maintain their precision.)

Located at the base of the Abbe condenser, the swing-in and swing-out filter holder offers convenient access for filter changes, enhancing your microscope's versatility. Swing out the filter holder and insert a clean, dust-free 32mm diameter filter. Handle with care to prevent any dust, dirt, or fingerprints from affecting the filter and field lens.

Attaching a Camera: Enhance your microscopic explorations by mounting a camera attachment for capturing detailed images.

Insert the eyepiece adapter into the trinocular camera port atop the microscope, then secure an eyepiece camera (not included). For a C-mount camera (not included), remove the top ring from the adapter, transforming it into a 1X C-mount for seamless camera integration.

The parfocality alignment between the eyepieces and trinocular port is preset for your convenience. If adjustments are needed, gently rotate the parfocal ring in the eyepiece adapter to fine-tune the adapter height and achieve perfect focus alignment.
