I. Assembling the microscope

When you open the styrofoam packaging, proceed with care, ensuring every component is accounted for. Retain all packing materials until each piece is unequivocally identified. Tenderly remove the protective plastic covers draped over the microscope's head and its twin gooseneck LED lights.

Commence by gracefully assembling the stand connector and its robust supportive pillar to the vertical pillar, ensuring the fastening knobs are securely tightened. Proceed to elegantly affix the working arm to the stand connector, then attach the focus block connector with finesse to the microscope head. Conclude by seamlessly integrating the working arm and focus block connector using the focus block fixing knob.

Gently locate the power cord, secure it to the microscope, and plug it in for operation. With a simple activation of the power switch situated at the back of the microscope stand, your state-of-the-art equipment is ready to illuminate your research journey.

II. Using the microscope

Interpupillary adjustment
Delicately adjust the eyepiece tubes until a singular, unified circular field is visible through both eyepieces. If separate circles appear, the interpupillary distance is too wide, whereas overlapping circles reveal a distance that is too narrow. The eyepiece tubes offer the convenience of flexible adjustment, accommodating interpupillary distances between 54 and 76mm with ease.

Focusing the microscope
Achieve crystal clarity for your sample by using the focusing knobs located on either side of the head holder. Rotating these knobs allows the microscope to ascend or descend with precision, courtesy of an innovative 'rack and pinion' mechanism.

Employ the focusing knob to secure an image with pristine clarity. Should the sample remain unfocused within the operational range of the S303/S304 pole arm and stand, consider adjusting the microscope head height along the vertical pillar to reach an ideal working distance of 230mm from the sample. Ensure to fasten the locking screw and support collar post adjustment for optimal stability.
