Assembly and set up
Gently unpackage the microscope and position it on a secure, flat surface to begin your journey into the world of microscopic wonders. Remove the protective plastic covers from the eyepiece holders located on the microscope's head. Carefully insert the eyepieces into these holders, preparing for an immersive visual experience. Now is the perfect opportunity to enhance your setup: consider inserting the eyepiece adapter into the trinocular camera port situated atop the microscope. This allows you to add a third eyepiece or to mount an eyepiece camera (note: camera not included), expanding your observational capabilities. Secure the power adapter to your microscope and plug it in. Activate the microscope by pressing the power button located on the base's rear side, bringing the device to life.

Using the microscope
Switch on the microscope and utilize the illumination intensity control wheel to set the initial brightness of the lamp at its lowest level, creating the ideal conditions for your observations.

Secure a slide within the slide holder on the stage, anchoring your specimen firmly in place for examination. Employ the X-Y translational control knobs on the stage's right side to maneuver the stage front to back or the slide holder left to right. This allows you to precisely position the specimen over the illumination source.

Adjust the binocular eyepieces, moving them closer together or further apart, until a single, cohesive image appears when peering through them. Refine your viewing experience by adjusting the bulb brightness to a comfortable intensity using the dimmer wheel, tailoring the illumination to suit your preferences.

Begin your exploration with the 4X objective lens, positioned centrally over the stage, to lay the foundation for detailed scrutiny. Gaze through the eyepieces and gently turn the larger coarse adjustment focus knob to draw the stage closer to the objective, gradually bringing the image into focus. Once a clear image is achieved, delicately refining the focus for greater clarity or to explore the various specimen layers. Further enhance image sharpness by employing the diopter adjustment control on the eyepiece holder, fine-tuning clarity to perfection. With the specimen in focus, explore other regions of the slide by using the X-Y translational control knobs to adjust the slide holder's position.

Elevate your exploration by gently rotating the nosepiece clockwise to switch to a higher magnification objective. Exercise caution to avoid contact with the slide to prevent potential damage to both the slide and the objective. If repositioning the objective cannot be done without risking contact with the slide, employ the coarse focus knob to lower the stage, creating ample space before altering magnification.

Fine-tune the image resolution by adjusting the focusing ring on the iris aperture diaphragm, enhancing the clarity of your observations. Precisely control the condenser's position by manually rotating the metal knob to move it closer to or farther from the stage, adapting to observational needs.

Optimize your results when using the 100X objective with the application of the included immersion oil, ensuring superior clarity and detail. Begin by skillfully rotating the nosepiece to position the 100X objective lens close to, yet not touching, the specimen slide. This precise adjustment sets the stage for an immersive exploration. Next, elevate your observation by placing a single drop of the specially included immersion oil onto the cover slip, preparing for a crystal-clear view. Gently rotate the 100X objective lens into its designated position until it seamlessly contacts the immersion oil, ensuring optimal clarity and detail. With precision, adjust the focus to bring your specimen into sharp, vivid clarity, unlocking the secrets within with unparalleled ease. (Note: To maintain the pristine condition of your equipment, immediately after use, meticulously wipe the oil from both the objective lens and cover slip. Use lens paper moistened with a small amount of ethyl or isopropyl alcohol. Please refrain from using immersion oil with the 4X, 10X, or 40X objectives for optimal performance and longevity.)

Discover the convenience of the swing-in and swing-out filter holder, elegantly positioned at the bottom of the Abbe condenser, ready to enhance your viewing experience. Effortlessly swing out the holder and gently place a 32mm diameter filter into it, ensuring that dust, dirt, and fingerprints are kept at bay from both the filter and the field lens, preserving their pristine condition.

Introducing the Camera Attachment Process

To integrate a camera, place the eyepiece adapter into the trinocular camera port atop the microscope, and secure an eyepiece camera (not included) directly onto it. For those preferring a C-mount camera (not included), simply unscrew the top ring from the eyepiece adapter to utilize it as a 1X C-mount, offering flexibility and precision in capturing images.

Enjoy the convenience of pre-set parfocality between the eyepieces and the trinocular port, meticulously calibrated before shipment. If adjustments are needed, you can effortlessly rotate the parfocal ring within the eyepiece adapter to fine-tune the adapter height position and achieve the perfect parfocality.
