I. Assembling the microscope
The S7 series microscopes are delivered with components separately packed to ensure protection. Open the Styrofoam packaging cautiously, making sure no components are concealed in the packing materials. Keep all packing materials until you have identified and verified all components.
Avoid touching optical lenses with bare hands, as fingerprints and grease can diminish image clarity.
Perform microscope assembly on a flat, stable surface to ensure steady usage.
II. Using the microscope
Interpupillary adjustment
Adjust the eyepiece tubes until a single circular field is viewed through both eyepieces for cohesive viewing. If two circles are visible, the interpupillary distance is too large; if overlapping circles appear, the distance is too small, requiring adjustment. The eyepiece tube allows adjustable interpupillary distance from 54 to 76mm to cater to various users.
Focusing the microscope
Focus using dual side focusing knobs that adjust vertical movement with a precise 'rack and pinion' system. Adjust tension with the right knob tension adjustment.
Begin with the highest magnification setting for focusing. If unclear, adjust the microscope's height on the pole, then secure it with the locking screw and support collar.
