Assembly and Set Up
Gently unbox your microscope and place it securely on a stable, level surface to begin your scientific exploration. Carefully remove the protective plastic covers from the eyepiece holders atop the microscope's head and seamlessly position the eyepieces into their designated holders. Enhance your observational capabilities by inserting the optional eyepiece adapter into the trinocular camera port located on the top of the microscope. Here, you can add a third eyepiece or mount an eyepiece camera (sold separately) for expanded functionality. Find the power adapter and secure it to the microscope, then plug it in to power up. Activate the microscope by pressing the power button conveniently located on the back of its base.

Using the Microscope
Power on the microscope and utilize the illumination intensity control wheel to initially set the lamp to its lowest brightness, ensuring optimal light management.

Securely affix a slide into the slide holder positioned on the stage to begin your examination. Use the X-Y translational control knobs on the stage's right side to precisely adjust the stage from front to back or the slide holder from left to right, ensuring the specimen is perfectly centered over the illuminating bulb.

Adjust the binocular eyepieces by moving them closer together or further apart until a single, unified image appears, providing a clear view through the lenses. Fine-tune the brightness to your comfort level using the dimmer wheel, ensuring a well-lit field of view.

Always initiate your examination with the 4X objective lens, ensuring it is centered over the stage to provide the foundational view of your specimen. Gaze through the eyepieces and gradually turn the larger coarse adjustment focus knob to incrementally elevate the stage toward the objective, bringing the image into brilliant focus. Upon forming a preliminary image, switch to the blue fine adjustment focus knob, enabling you to delicately refine clarity and explore the various layers of your specimen with precision. Enhance image clarity further by employing the diopter adjustment control located on the eyepiece holder, allowing for meticulous fine-tuning. Navigate to different sections of the slide using the X-Y translational control knobs to adjust the slide holder, ensuring the specimen remains in sharp focus.

Elevate magnification by rotating the nosepiece clockwise to a higher level, taking care to avoid contact with the slide to prevent potential damage to either the glass slide or the objective lens. If repositioning the objective proves challenging without slide contact, utilize the coarse focus knob to lower the stage, thus creating ample space before altering magnification.

Modify the image resolution by adjusting the focusing ring on the iris aperture diaphragm, tailoring the visual output to your precise requirements. Manually reposition the condenser closer to or farther from the stage by rotating the metal knob, optimizing the lighting conditions for your examination.

For optimal results with the 100X objective, apply the provided immersion oil to enhance the detail and resolution of your observations. To begin your exploration with precision, gently rotate the nosepiece until the 100X objective is poised near, but not directly on, the specimen slide, ensuring an optimal starting position for your observation. Enhance your viewing clarity by placing a drop of the included premium immersion oil onto the cover slip, setting the stage for high-resolution microscopy. With meticulous care, slowly rotate the 100X objective into its operational position, ensuring seamless contact with the immersion oil for superior image clarity. Skillfully adjust the focus to bring your specimen into sharp, crystal-clear view, unlocking the finest details for analysis. (Important: After usage, always gently cleanse the oil from the objective lens and cover slip using lens paper moistened with a touch of ethyl or isopropyl alcohol. Remember, immersion oil is not intended for use with the 4X, 10X, or 40X objectives.)

The innovative swing-in and swing-out filter holder is ingeniously positioned at the base of the Abbe condenser, facilitating easy access and filter changes. Effortlessly swing the holder out and carefully place a pristine 32mm diameter filter into it, ensuring no dust, dirt, or fingerprints mar the filter or the field lens.

Efficiently Mounting a Camera Attachment

Simply position the eyepiece adapter into the trinocular camera port atop the microscope and securely mount an eyepiece camera (not included) directly onto it. For a C-mount camera (not included), easily unscrew the top ring from the adapter, converting it into a 1X C-mount, ready for your camera.

The parfocality of the eyepieces with the trinocular port has been expertly preset before shipment, minimizing the need for adjustments. However, if required, the parfocal ring in the eyepiece adapter allows for precise height and parfocality adjustments.
