Assembly and Set-Up Instructions
Begin by carefully removing the microscope from its packaging and placing it securely on a sturdy, flat surface to ensure stability during use. Gently remove the protective plastic covers from the eyepiece holders located on the microscope's head, and proceed to install the eyepieces into their respective holders. At this stage, you may opt to insert the eyepiece adapter into the trinocular camera port situated atop the microscope, allowing the addition of a third eyepiece or the installation of an eyepiece camera (not included). Connect the power adapter to the microscope, plug it in, and activate the device by pressing the power button found on the rear of the base.

Effective Microscope Use
Switch on the microscope and adjust the illumination intensity using the control wheel to set the lamp to its lowest brightness setting.

Securely clip a slide into the slide holder positioned on the stage for examination. Utilize the X-Y translational control knobs located on the right side of the stage, allowing you to move the stage front to back or the slide holder left to right, centering the specimen over the bulb effectively.

Adjust the binocular eyepieces, moving them closer together or further apart, until a single, cohesive image is visible when viewing through them. Fine-tune the lighting by adjusting the bulb brightness to a comfortable intensity with the dimmer wheel, enhancing visual comfort and clarity.

Begin with the lowest power objective lens, specifically the 4X objective, ensuring it is centered over the stage for an initial examination. Peer through the eyepieces and focus the image by gently turning the larger coarse adjustment focus knob, bringing the stage closer to the objective for clear viewing. Once the image is visible, smoothly transition to the blue fine adjustment focus knob, allowing for precise fine-tuning, enhancing clarity, and revealing various layers of the specimen. Further refine the image clarity by utilizing the diopter adjustment control on the eyepiece holder, achieving optimal focus. Explore different areas of the slide by adjusting the X-Y translational control knobs, ensuring the specimen remains in focus as you navigate.

Increase the magnification by carefully rotating the nosepiece clockwise to a higher magnification objective. Ensure clearance is maintained to avoid contact with the slide, which could potentially damage both the slide and the objective. If transitioning between objectives presents difficulty in maintaining clearance, utilize the coarse focus knob to lower the stage, providing adequate space for magnification changes.

Modify the resolution of the image by adjusting the focusing ring on the iris aperture diaphragm, enhancing image detail and clarity. Adjust the condenser's proximity to the stage by rotating the metal knob, customizing light focus to suit examination needs.

For optimal results when using the 100X objective, apply the provided immersion oil, ensuring enhanced image quality and detail. Begin by skillfully rotating the nosepiece to gently bring the 100X objective lens near the specimen slide. Ensure it is poised perfectly without yet making contact. Next, expertly place a single drop of the included immersion oil onto the cover slip, enhancing the optical clarity. With precision, slowly rotate the 100X objective into position, ensuring it seamlessly contacts the immersion oil for optimal viewing. Fine-tune the focus intricately until your specimen becomes vividly clear, showcasing every detail. (Note: After each use, promptly and gently cleanse the oil from the objective lens and cover slip using lens paper moistened lightly with ethyl or isopropyl alcohol. Avoid using immersion oil with the 4X, 10X, or 40X objectives to maintain their integrity.)

The sophisticated swing-in and swing-out filter holder is conveniently located at the base of the Abbe condenser. Effortlessly swing it out and delicately place a 32mm diameter filter, ensuring the filter and field lens remain immaculate and untouched by dust, dirt, or fingerprints.

Mounting a camera attachment is a breeze with our user-friendly design.

Insert the eyepiece adapter into the trinocular camera port atop the microscope and affix an eyepiece camera (not included) directly to it. For a C-mount camera (not included), simply unscrew the top ring from the eyepiece adapter, transforming it into a versatile 1X C-mount.

Our microscopes are expertly preset for parfocality between the eyepieces and the trinocular port before they leave our facility, requiring no adjustment. Should you need to, simply rotate the parfocal ring in the eyepiece adapter to fine-tune the adapter height for perfect parfocality.
