Assembly and set up
Begin by carefully unboxing the microscope and positioning it securely on a stable, flat surface to ensure optimal performance and safety. Remove the protective plastic covers from the eyepiece holders located on the microscope's head. Proceed by inserting the eyepieces securely into the holders. You have the option at this stage to insert the eyepiece adapter into the trinocular camera port atop the microscope, allowing for the addition of a third eyepiece or the mounting of an eyepiece camera (not included), expanding your observational capabilities. Locate the power adapter, connect it to the microscope, and plug it in. Activate the microscope by pressing the power button conveniently located at the back of the base.

Using the microscope
Power on the microscope and adjust the lamp to its lowest brightness setting using the illumination intensity control wheel, ensuring comfortable lighting conditions for your observations.

Securely place a slide into the slide holder positioned on the stage, ensuring it is ready for examination. Utilize the X-Y translational control knobs on the right side of the stage to maneuver the stage front to back or the slide holder left to right, centering the specimen over the bulb for optimal viewing.

Adjust the binocular eyepieces by moving them closer together or further apart until you achieve a single, cohesive image when you look through them. With the dimmer wheel, adjust the bulb brightness to reach a comfortable intensity that suits your viewing preferences.

Always initiate your examination with the lowest power objective lens, in this case, the 4X objective, ensuring it is perfectly centered over the stage for a foundational view. Peer through the eyepieces and carefully bring the image into focus by gradually turning the larger coarse adjustment focus knob, gently bringing the stage closer to the objective lens. Once your image appears, transition to the blue fine adjustment focus knob for precision clarity, allowing you to explore the various layers of your specimen with ease. Further enhance image clarity using the diopter adjustment control located on the eyepiece holder, ensuring an impeccably sharp view. Explore additional sections of the slide by manipulating the X-Y translational control knobs to reposition the slide holder once your specimen is in focus.

To increase magnification, carefully rotate the nosepiece clockwise to select a higher magnification objective. Mindfully avoid striking the slide with the objective to prevent potential damage to the glass or the objective itself. If maneuvering the objective into place is hindered by contact with the slide, use the coarse focus knob to gently lower the stage, creating the necessary space before changing magnification.

Enhance image resolution by adjusting the focusing ring on the iris aperture diaphragm, fine-tuning the clarity of your observations. Transform your viewing experience by manually adjusting the condenser's proximity to the stage via the rotating metal knob, tailoring illumination to your needs.

To achieve optimum results with the 100X objective lens, utilize the provided immersion oil, refining your microscopic examinations to professional standards. Gently rotate the nosepiece of your Educational Microscope with 30° Inclination until the 100X objective is positioned close to, but not directly on, the specimen slide for optimal observation. Carefully apply a drop of the high-quality immersion oil provided onto the cover slip for enhanced clarity and precision. Slowly and meticulously rotate the 100X objective into place, ensuring it seamlessly contacts the immersion oil, readying your setup for exceptional viewing. Skillfully adjust the focus until your specimen is crystal clear, delivering an unparalleled viewing experience. (Note: After each use, gently cleanse the oil from the objective lens and cover slip with lens paper moistened with a small amount of ethyl or isopropyl alcohol to maintain pristine condition. Avoid using immersion oil with the 4X, 10X, or 40X objectives to protect their integrity.)

Experience the convenience of our innovative swing-in and swing-out filter holder, strategically located at the base of the Abbe condenser for effortless accessibility. Simply swing out the holder and delicately place a 32mm diameter filter within, ensuring no dust, dirt, or fingerprints mar the filter or field lens for spotless results.

Enhancing Your Microscope: Camera Attachment

Integrate cutting-edge technology by placing the eyepiece adapter into the trinocular camera port atop your microscope and effortlessly mount an eyepiece camera (sold separately). For those preferring a C-mount camera (sold separately), simply unscrew the top ring from the eyepiece adapter to convert it for 1X C-mount compatibility.

The enhanced parfocality between the eyepieces and the trinocular port has been expertly pre-set before shipment for your convenience. However, should any adjustment be necessary, simply rotate the parfocal ring in the eyepiece adapter to finely tune the adapter height position for optimal parfocality.
