Assembly and Setup
Begin your scientific journey by gently removing the microscope from its packaging and placing it on a stable, flat surface. Carefully take off the protective plastic cover from the eyepiece holder located on the microscope's head and securely insert an eyepiece into the holder. Connect the power adapter and plug it in. Power on the microscope using the power button to unveil the mesmerizing world of microscopy.
Using the Microscope
Power up the microscope and select the lower lamp setting. Refine the brightness using the intensity control dimming handwheel, minimising the lamp's brightness for an optimal and comfortable viewing experience.
Firmly secure your slide on the stage using the slide clips, setting the stage for an in-depth examination of your chosen specimen.
Gently swivel the monocular head to either the forward or backward position for comfortable viewing. Look through the eyepiece and adjust the bulb brightness with the dimmer wheel, achieving an extraordinary visual experience tailored to your preferences.
Embark on your observation with the lowest magnification objective lens, the 4x, centered over the stage. Peer through the eyepiece and refine the image by rotating the larger coarse adjustment focus knob, which precisely shifts the stage closer to the objective for a crisply defined view.
Upon forming an image, transition to the blue fine adjustment focus knob to enhance clarity or explore different specimen layers. Gently maneuver the slide across the stage to thoroughly examine various sections of the specimen slide.
To elevate magnification, turn the nosepiece clockwise to select a higher magnification objective, taking care to avoid slide contact. If needed, use the coarse focus knob to lower the stage, providing ample space before increasing magnification.
*For incident mode usage, switch to the upper light embedded in the microscope's body. Position a solid sample (like hair or pollen) on the stage with the objective lenses at the lowest magnification. Follow the focusing steps to reveal magnified details with exceptional precision and clarity.
Caring for Your Microscope
To preserve the impeccable condition and superior performance of your microscope, it is essential to store it in an environment that is both cool and arid. For maximum protection, always cover the microscope with the provided dust cover when not in use. If cleaning is required, gently use a soft brush or compressed air to carefully remove any dust from the lenses. It is crucial to refrain from directly touching optical surfaces, and disassembling optical components should be avoided. When not in use, ensure the eyepiece holder and ocular lens are covered with the plastic cover for added safety.
Troubleshooting
