I. Assembling the microscope
The components for the S41-20 microscope are shipped detached to ensure optimal protection during transit. Please open the styrofoam packaging with utmost care, ensuring no components remain attached to the packaging when removed. Retain all packaging materials until every component is identified. Remove the protective plastic covers from the microscope's head and the two adjustable gooseneck LED lights.

Begin assembling by securing the stand connector and its supporting pillar onto the vertical pillar, ensuring the fastening knobs are tightened securely. Attach the working arm to the stand connector, then fix the focus block connector to the microscope head. Connect the working arm and focus block connector by tightening the focus block fixing knob.

Find the power cord and connect it to the microscope. Plug it into a power source and activate the power switch located on the back of the microscope stand.

II. Using the microscope

Interpupillary adjustment
Fine-tune the two eyepiece tubes until you observe a single, unified circular field through both eyepieces. If two distinct circles appear, the interpupillary distance is excessively large; if overlapping circles appear, the distance is too small. The adjustable eyepiece tubes allow for flexible interpupillary distance settings between 54 and 76mm.

Focusing the microscope
To achieve precise focus on your sample, use the focusing knobs situated on either side of the head holder. By rotating these knobs, the microscope moves up or down, facilitated by a precise 'rack and pinion' mechanism.

With the focusing knob, fine-tune the sample focus until the image reaches optimal clarity. If focus is unattainable within the S303/S304 pole arm and stand's travel range, adjust the microscope head's height along the vertical pillar to a working distance of 230mm from the sample. After height adjustment, secure the position by tightening the locking screw and support collar.

• One (1) Year Warranty for Electrical and Video Components: This covers the electrical and video components, excluding consumables like light bulbs, batteries, fuses, or cords.
