Assembly and Set-Up
Begin by carefully removing the microscope from its packaging. Place it securely on a sturdy, flat surface to ensure stability during setup. Gently remove the protective plastic covers from the eyepiece holders located on the microscope's head. Proceed to place the eyepieces into the designated holders. Optionally, you may insert the eyepiece adapter into the trinocular camera port at the top of the microscope. Here, you can choose to either place a third eyepiece into it or mount an eyepiece camera (camera not included). Identify the power adapter, connect it to the microscope, and plug it into a power source. Activate the microscope by pressing the power button located at the back of the base.

Using the Microscope
Turn on the microscope and utilize the illumination intensity control wheel to adjust the lamp to the lowest brightness setting, ensuring optimal light conditions for your examination.

Securely clip a slide into the slide holder positioned on the stage with precision. Utilize the X-Y translational control knobs located on the right side of the stage. This allows you to move the stage front to back or adjust the slide holder left to right, centering the specimen perfectly over the bulb for ideal observation.

Adjust the binocular eyepieces to ensure a unified visual field. Move them closer together or further apart until you see a singular, cohesive image when looking through them. Fine-tune the bulb brightness to your comfort level by using the dimmer wheel, ensuring the perfect illumination for your observations.

Always initiate your exploration with the lowest power objective lens, in this instance, the 4X objective, precisely centered over the stage. Peer through the eyepieces and gradually bring the image into sharp focus by carefully turning the larger coarse adjustment focus knob. This moves the stage closer to the objective, enhancing image clarity. Once a clear image is established, switch to the blue fine adjustment focus knob. This will allow you to fine-tune the clarity further or examine the various layers of the specimen with greater detail. At this point, you may utilize the diopter adjustment control on the eyepiece holder for additional fine-tuning of image clarity, customizing your visual experience to the highest standard. Explore different sections of the slide by employing the X-Y translational control knobs to maneuver the slide holder. This is particularly useful once the specimen is in focus and ready for detailed study.

To enhance magnification, rotate the nosepiece clockwise to select a higher magnification objective. Exercise caution to avoid contact between the slide and the objective, as such contact may damage both the slide and the objective. If positioning a new objective without slide contact proves challenging, use the coarse focus knob to gently lower the stage, creating more space before adjusting magnification.

Refine the resolution of your image by adjusting the focusing ring on the iris aperture diaphragm, achieving the desired clarity and detail. The condenser's position can be altered by manually rotating the metal knob, allowing it to move closer to or further from the stage for optimal lighting conditions.

To achieve superior results with the 100X objective, it is recommended to use the included immersion oil, ensuring the highest level of clarity and precision. Gently rotate the nosepiece, ensuring that the powerful 100X objective lens is positioned close to, but not directly on, the specimen slide, allowing for meticulous examination. Carefully apply a drop of the premium immersion oil provided, directly onto the cover slip to ensure optimal clarity during observation. With precision, slowly rotate the remarkable 100X objective into place, making sure it seamlessly interacts with the immersion oil for enhanced imaging. Adjust the focus meticulously until the specimen reveals itself in pristine clarity, allowing for thorough analysis. (Note: Post-use, it is crucial to delicately cleanse the oil from the objective lens and the cover slip using lens paper lightly moistened with ethyl or isopropyl alcohol. This ensures longevity and performance. Remember, never utilize immersion oil with the 4X, 10X, or 40X objectives.)

Discover the utility of the swing-in and swing-out filter holder, situated at the base of the sophisticated Abbe condenser. Swing the holder outward and delicately place a 32mm diameter filter into the holder, ensuring it remains free of dust, dirt, and fingerprints, which could compromise the field lens.

Attaching a Camera for Enhanced Documentation

Begin by placing the eyepiece adapter into the trinocular camera port atop the microscope. Mount an eyepiece camera (not included) directly onto it for immediate use. For those desiring a C-mount camera (not included), simply unscrew the top ring from the eyepiece adapter for seamless integration as a 1X C-mount.

Prior to shipment, parfocality between eyepieces and the trinocular port has been expertly preset, requiring no further adjustments. If adjustments are needed, the parfocal ring in the eyepiece adapter allows for height position and parfocality fine-tuning.
