Assembly and Setup

Begin your scientific exploration by gently unboxing the microscope and placing it on a stable, flat surface. Carefully remove the protective plastic cover from the eyepiece holder located on the microscope's head, and securely insert an eyepiece into the holder. Connect the power adapter and plug it in. Power up the microscope with the power button, revealing the wonders of microscopy.

Using the Microscope
Turn on the microscope and select the lower lamp setting. Fine-tune the light intensity with the dimming handwheel, reducing the lamp to its minimum brightness for an optimal and comfortable viewing experience.
Secure your specimen slide on the stage using the slide clips, preparing for a thorough examination of your chosen sample.

Gently adjust the monocular head to either the forward or backward-facing position for the most comfortable viewing. Gaze through the eyepiece and adjust the bulb brightness with the dimmer wheel to achieve a superior visual experience tailored to your preferences.

Commence your observation with the lowest magnification objective lens, the 4x, aligned over the stage. Peer through the eyepiece and refine the image by rotating the larger coarse adjustment focus knob, which precisely maneuvers the stage closer to the objective for a crisply defined view.

Once the image is in focus, transition to the blue fine adjustment focus knob to enhance clarity or explore different specimen layers. Manually glide the slide across the stage to thoroughly investigate various specimen sections.

To increase magnification, rotate the nosepiece clockwise to select a higher magnification objective, being careful to avoid contact with the slide. If needed, use the coarse focus knob to lower the stage, creating ample space before switching magnification.

*For utilizing the microscope in incident mode, switch the illumination to the upper light embedded in the microscope's body. Place a solid sample (such as hair or pollen) on the stage with the objective lenses at the lowest magnification. Follow the focusing steps to uncover magnified details with precision and clarity.

Caring for Your Microscope

To preserve the immaculate condition and peak performance of your precision microscope, it is crucial to store it in a cool, dry location. For added security, always use the accompanying dust cover when the microscope is not operational. If cleaning becomes necessary, gently use a soft brush or compressed air to carefully remove dust from the lenses-avoid direct contact with optical surfaces. Disassembling optical components is strongly discouraged. Ensure the eyepiece holder and ocular lens are protected with the plastic cover when not in use for maximum longevity.

Troubleshooting

In the event of minor issues, you may easily troubleshoot and potentially resolve them yourself. Here, we provide a list of common problems with straightforward solutions to try before reaching out to our dedicated customer support team for assistance.

*Important Caution: Please refrain from disassembling any parts of the microscope, including electrical, mechanical, or optical components. Only a certified Swift technician is equipped to carry out this task, ensuring both safety and the microscope's optimal functionality.
