Assembly and set up
Carefully unbox the microscope and position it on a stable, flat surface. Remove the protective plastic cover from the eyepiece holder atop the microscope's head and insert an eyepiece into place. Connect the power adapter to the microscope, plug it in, and press the power button to activate your new window into the microscopic world.
Using the microscope
Power up the microscope and select the lower lamp setting. Adjust using the illumination intensity control dimming handwheel to set the lamp at its lowest brightness, ensuring a soft introduction to your specimen examination.
Carefully secure a slide using the clips on the stage, ensuring stability during your detailed observations.
Rotate the monocular head to a position-either forward or backward-that offers the most comfort for viewing. As you peer through the eyepiece, adjust the bulb's brightness to a level that suits your comfort using the dimmer wheel.
Always commence with the lowest magnification objective lens aligned over the stage, specifically the 4x objective. Gaze through the eyepiece and gradually focus the image by turning the larger coarse adjustment focus knob to bring the stage closer to the objective, bringing clarity to your observation.
Once the image is visible, transition to the blue fine adjustment focus knob for fine-tuning clarity or to explore the various intricate layers of the specimen you're examining. Gently maneuver the slide across the stage to explore different sections of the specimen slide.
Enhance magnification by rotating the nosepiece clockwise to a higher objective, ensuring not to strike the slide. If contact seems imminent, use the coarse focus knob to lower the stage, creating safe space for magnification adjustments.
*To explore in incident mode, switch the illumination to the upper light within the body. Place a solid specimen, such as hair or pollen, on the stage, setting the objective lenses to their lowest magnification. Follow the focusing steps to unveil the magnified details.
Caring for your microscope
Like any precision instrument, your microscope should be stored in a cool, dry environment. Protect it with the dust cover when not in use. If cleaning is needed, use a soft brush or compressed air to gently remove dust. Avoid direct contact with optical surfaces and never disassemble optical components. Protect the eyepiece holder and ocular lens with a plastic cover when an eyepiece is not in use.
Troubleshooting
Encountering issues? Try these common solutions before reaching out to customer support. Many problems can be easily resolved, ensuring your microscope continues to deliver exceptional performance.
Important Notice: To maintain the pristine performance and reliability of your device, refrain from disassembling any electrical, mechanical, or optical components. Allow only a qualified Swift technician to perform any necessary servicing. This precaution preserves your microscope's integrity and ensures optimal functionality.
